A few more to add to the list. I haven't seen most of these, as they hadn't really come up on my radar, but definitely going to take a gander at one or two later. Most are from TV shows, including a quite popular one.

And a big shout out to the Evil Doll Movie List on Undead Backbrain. Seems someone else has beat me to this. However, I'll keep going on as I remember things, possibly with a peak here and there to the aforementioned blog.

11. Doctor Who, The Celestial Toymaker episodes (April 1966): Games including electrocution! People vying against one another while trapped in the toymaker's hellish world. Apparently these episodes are mostly gone from the BBC archives.

12. Small Soldiers (1998): Action figures are created to be interactive toys that go wrong and start drugging and torturing people instead. The commando action figures get sent to South America to work for the military. Despite reports, there seems to be no sequel for the movie.

13. Trilogy of Terror (1975) and Trilogy of Terror 2 (1996): Same Zuni fetish doll appears in both, with the first possessing a woman, and in the second, the doll goes on a killing spree.

14. Goosebumps, Night of the Living Dummy (May 1993): Dueling ventriloquist dummies creating mischief in a household.

15. The Twilight Zone, Living Doll/The Dummy/Caesar and Me (1959): A little girl's doll gets revenge on her stepfather, a ventriloquist dummy becomes the puppeteer, and a ventriloquist dummy that cons his puppeteer into committing crimes.




Interesting tidbits while compiling this list: pediophobia is the fear of dolls, pupaphobia the fear of puppets, and automatonophobia encompasses the fear of such things as ventriloquist dummies and mannequins.

As promised, more additions to the list of movies and TV shows with dolls and/or creepy toys in them. If you've read the first post, I did mention about child endangerment, only because the person that wanted a list has a visceral response to child endangerment, and I know that she is not alone in that, so added warnings and whatnot. I'll try to add in any animal endangerment as well, when I remember.

The List

5. Friday the 13th:The Series (1987-1990) - Episode 1 has a doll killing for it's owner. Episode 11 is about an animated scarecrow that beheads people to ensure a good crop. Episode 25 is added because of child endangerment, due to the fact that people have to die to keep a child alive.  Episode 38 has both a creepy dollhouse and child endangerment. Episode 69 is a pirate-themed jack-in-the-box that takes lives so one can visit with their dead relatives.

6. Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys (2004) - Killer toys that are planned to be released on Christmas eve.

7. Demonic Toys (1992) - People trapped in a haunted warehouse get attacked by possessed toys.

8. Dolls (1987) - Haunted doll collection.

9. Dead Silence (2007) - Ventriloquist dummies and their crazy, killer handler. Some child endangerment.

10. Baby Blues (2013) - Haven't watched this one yet, so just going by the description. Creepy doll that resembles a stillborn child.

12/16/2014 - Just the start.

I neglected to remind myself that I needed to start these posts, so I'm tossing a bone out here to everyone. For now, it will be a short list because I have things to do, people to see, beer to drink, and a memory that runs half empty more often than not.


The List
1. Annabelle (2014) - Entire movie is about a creepy, possessed doll with the soul of a Satan worshipper. Some child endangerment as well.

2.Child's Play (1988) - Chucky is a My Buddy doll possessed by a serial killer. Minor child endangerment.
        + Child's Play 2 (1990), Child's Play 3 (1991), Bride of Chucky (1998), Seed of Chucky (2004), When Chucky became Mary (2005), and Curse of Chucky (2013) all have Chucky plus a couple of other possessed dolls in them. Caveat: I have not see the last 2 movies, as I had no idea of their existence until searching IMDB.com for links to the movies.

3. The Woman in Black (2012) - While not focused on a doll, the movie does have a lot of creepy toys in the Eel Marsh House. Definitely has child endangerment.

4. Puppetmaster (1989) - Killer dolls, yay! Brain tissue sampling and reanimation are also part of the plot, what little there is of it.
        + Puppetmaster II (1990), Puppetmaster III (1991), Puppetmaster 4 (1993), and Puppetmaster 5: The Final Chapter (1994) continue the brain tissue sampling, reanimation attempts, and Nazis in at least one of the films. Child endangerment in some of them.

Introductory Post to "Is There a Doll or Creepy Toy in the Movie or Show?" Blog.

Due to the holiday season and being creeped out by all of the Elf on a Shelf posts on social media, a friend suggested that someone create a website for telling people if there are dolls or creepy toys in movies.
Seeing as how I am a great fan of horror movies, which often have creepy toys and dolls in them, I figured I would start this blog and work on it as I come across pertinent information. Occasionally, I will add a TV show or episode, since people should be warned of those too.

When at all possible, there will be links to more information about the movie. I'm not entirely sure how much data will be given, but I will try to just keep it to movies and TV shows that HAVE dolls or creepy toys in them. The first few posts will be working from memory, and then later posts will be added as I watch more movies/TV shows.
